Attended the UCLA OMFS Virtual Open House on August 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM PST, held via Zoom. The session included a program overview by Dr. Tara Aghaloo, a resident-led presentation, and a Q&A session.
What you learned:
I gained insight into the structure of UCLA’s six-year OMFS residency program, including its curriculum, clinical training, and resident experiences. The residents shared valuable perspectives on their path to acceptance, day-to-day responsibilities, and the culture of the program.
How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals:
This open house gave me a broader perspective on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and helped me better understand how to connect my current coursework and clinical training to potential future career paths
