- What you learned: Throughout this seminar, Dr. Julie Goldberg outlined the most common procedures that claims tend to be filed for against dentists. She stressed the importance of having professional liability insurance and strategies to manage and minimize rise in dental practice. She discussed how consent forms should be procedure specific and only be taken between the treating doctor and patient. Consent taken over the phone should always be documented along with the reason for no in person consent. A thorough review of the litigation process in liability claims was also done.
