Villanova Special Olympics Special Smiles 2025
On November 8th, 2025, I attended Special Olympics at Villanova University to volunteer with Dr. Jason Bresler’s ” Special Smiles”. This activity involved screening the athletes for proper oral hygiene, urgent pain or trauma, as well as fluoride application. Mouth guards were also fabricated for the athletes as a preventative measure for athletes. This event helped me refine how I communicate with patients, as well as explaining technical terms and questions in a more easy to understand way. Giving back to such a grateful community at this event is something I strive to take with me in the future.
