Mom-n-PA 2025
During the summer of 2025 term, I, along with group from TUKSoD, attended Mom-n-PA\’s annual free dental clinic in Wilkes-Barre, PA on 6/7 from 6 am to 5 pm. Through this volunteering opportunity, I learned how important it is to give back to communities that may not have access to affordable dental care. Seeing how grateful every patient was emphasized how much volunteering organizations such as Mom-n-PA are doing for the community. This activity relates to my career goals because it allowed me to interact with new peers and mentors that shared advice and answered questions throughout the day. Additionally, I was able to appreciate the work this profession does for others and allowed me to reflect how I can do the same in the future.
