- The Anato-Bee Northeast Regionals took place on March 8th, 2025 at the Temple Medical School, MERB. It is a competition where students take multiple exams, including a written exam, a cadaver practical, and an oral exam. I helped proctor the written exam and set up lunch on the 8th. I did spend some time discussing school with the students there, but most of them were asking about med school and applications so there wasn’t that much I could help them with.
- I talked to a lot of students and parents during lunch. I learned about the issues these students are facing when applying to college, like choosing majors and where to go, and how best to guide them with my advice from personal experiences. I also spent some time talking to parents and learning about their concerns ranging from safety, to quality of school, to potential school or job prospects, and to financials.
- As a dentist, it’s going to a part of my career that students come in and ask about college and going on to grad school, med school, or dental school. The time spent talking to these students and parents about the next steps to take was incredibly valuable for how learning how to communicate with my patients and their guardians in the future.
