Philips Oral Healthcare Session
Phillips sponsored a Lunch and Learn on August 23rd, 2024. I was introduced to another popular oral toothbrush – the Philips Sonicare, which I previously had known very little about. I learned about how much impact an electric toothbrush can have, in terms of the effectiveness of removing plaque and how it can help certain populations that may have difficulty brushing with a manual toothbrush. This presentation gave me exposure to another popular toothbrush which my patients may ask me about in the future. Additionally, it taught me more about oral hygiene and electric toothbrushes in general. I also enjoyed how the presenter, who is a hygenist and educator, presented the information and taught the class too.
