- In this lecture from Dr. Burke, we learned the vast differences between being a practicing dentist in a suburban setting versus an urban setting. I learned how the two settings offer different patient populations, in with that, different treatment plans and how the frequency of certain cases is higher in one setting compared to the other. In addition, Dr. Burke discussed how she founded a community outreach clinic that helps people that may not be able to afford dental care receive dental care.
- This lecture was very interesting to me because I never really thought about all of the differences between a suburban and an urban practice. It put into perspective for me the fact that I eventually have to start thinking about where I would like to practice.
