Part of Temple ADEA series on specialty program. This interactive lecture on prosthodontics residency took place on Friday, March 7th at 12pm in Lecture Hall B.
Dr. Louis DiPede has received extensive education and training in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial surgery and shared his experience on it. He explained the specialty application requirements, as well as preparation during the pre-doctoral program, qualifications and characteristics that they are lookin for in a candidate. He also did an overview on scope of prosthodontics and how CE courses while can be beneficial but cannot substitute GPR, AEGD etc. Dr. Louis DiPede told us about complex cases he performed such as rehabilitation of patients with congenital or acquired defects (e.g. cleft palate).
This session was very interactive and students asked a lot of questions that were mostly related to application process. I learned a lot from this session.
