- During the symposium, I learned about the importance of self-care in being a good provider to patients and the importance of understanding what your own motivations and passions are in pursuing dentistry. Each person can have different ways to show practice self care and different reasons for pursuing dentistry such as being able to work hands-on, good work-life balance, or being able to run their own business.
- This presentation taught me the importance of understanding myself and my own needs so that I can bring my best self to work and be a better dental provider to my patients. I will begin to implement things I learned in this presentation in both school and my future career.
