Villanova Special Olympics
Attended Special Olympics at Villanova University on November 8th 2025. I worked with Dr. Jason Bresler in volunteering with “Special Smiles.” I checked in patients as well as screened patients using a basic questionnaire. I also provided instructions on proper oral hygiene, applied fluoride and fabricated mouth guards for the athletes. Through this experience working with disabled people I learned how important it is to educate the community on proper oral hygiene, as well as provide services that many of the attendees never usually have the capability of receiving.
