Lunch & Learn: “How to Buy a Dental Practice” with Dr. Loren Genetti
I am a part of the Dental Practice Management Club and they offered the opportunity to attend a lecture given by Dr. Loren Genetti about how to buy a dental practice. This Lunch and Learn was hosted on November 15th, 2023 in Lecture room A. Dr. Genetti told us her story–her journey through dental school, the path that she took after graduating, and finally what it’s like to be a partner at a private practice. She informed us about other career paths that she did not take, but are potential post-graduation options for us. While she was discussing how she bought her practice she spoke very positively and filled the room with good morale, being very inspiring and motivating. At the end of the lecture, she provided us with resources and her contact information if we had any questions or if we even just needed someone to talk to. This activity relates to my career because after I graduate dental school my goal is to own my own practice, and the details she provided were very informative and helpful.
