Lunch and Learn: Accountability and Motivation with Dr. Jay Gohel
I attended a lunch and learn on October 24,2024 in Lecture Room A with Dr. Gohel in which he discussed aspects of real-world dentistry after dental school, importance of office culture, residency and on-site mentorship programs, and self-accountability and motivation. He owns many local private practices in Media, Conshohocken, West Chester, and Wayne. This was a very informative and interactive lecture that engaged us students to see the dental world in a different way. Dr. Gohel was very enthusiastic and gave insight about how to navigate life during and after dental school once entering a practice. When in school, it is difficult to see the end of the tunnel, but Dr. Gohel gave a great roadmap to keep us on track and develop successful traits that will stay with us throughout our career. It was neat to see that 2 recent Temple Dental graduates are now working as Associates for Dr. Gohel. This puts everything he discussed in the lecture into perspective. These traits of achieving accountability and motivation is critical to succeed in school, practice, and life.
