TUKSoD Post-Baccalaureate Program Mentor
In the Spring 2024 semester, as part of the TUKSoD Post-Baccalaureate Program, I continued mentoring the same two students from the previous term. This semester, my focus shifted toward helping them navigate the dental school application process, providing guidance on writing personal statements, and sharing critical interviewing skills and tips. In addition to continuing support with their coursework and clinic-related advice, I emphasized the importance of presenting themselves effectively during interviews. This experience enhanced my understanding of the application process from a mentor’s perspective, further aligning with my goal to become a well-rounded dental professional who not only succeeds academically but also supports others in their journey to dentistry.
