We spent time with the kids in the waiting room by playing games, coloring, applying temporary tattoos, and doing other fun activities to help them feel more relaxed before their appointments. It was such a fun and rewarding experience, and I really saw how much of a difference a little engagement can make in easing a child\u2019s anxiety. This meant a lot to me, especially because I\u2019m interested in specializing in pediatrics.
