This activity was on Thursday, September 14, 2023, in Lecture Room B of the dental school.\u00a0 Previous Post-baccalaureate students (who are now in their first year of dental school) were assigned students of the current post-baccalaureate program to mentor as they complete the post-bacc program and try to get into dental school for the current application cycle. During lunch, I met with my two mentees, and I gave them advice on how to succeed in the program as well as what I did to study for the dental admissions test (DAT). I also gave them my contact information so that they could contact me at any point as they complete the program. What I learned from doing this is that my advice can have a positive and beneficial influence on people who are in the same situation as I was last year. This activity relates to my career goals because I hope to encourage as many pre-dental students as I can so that they can also be successful in the dental field.<\/p>\n
