Lunch and Learn with Dr. Rachel Lewin

- Details of the activity (e.g., where, when) — Wednesday 1/15 at 12-1pm in Timmons Hall
- What you learned — I learned all about Dr. Lewin’s experiences and her “do’s and dont’s” of dentistry. She spoke about the importance of understanding insurance, learning the “slowest part of YOUR procedures” and how to work on that and how to navigate difficult patients and situations.
- How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals — This was an eye-opening lunch and learn where we got to hear about the “raw” stories of a dentist right out of dental school and how she applied and worked in different positions after school. She spoke about working in large practices versus private/small practices. Although I am going into the military, this was a lunch and learn that I will keep in mind post-service!
