- What you learned: Dr. Aziz presented on “Reconstruction of severely atrophic jaws with patient specific bone anchored subperiosteal implants”. While it is a very niche topic, it was so enlightening to see advancements in implants and the opportunities for patients who are unable to undergo bone graft.
- How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals: I am interested in OMFS, and the surgeries fascinate me. It was eye opening to see a leader in the field go through the procedure and share some cases.
