Pediatrics Clinic Fall Festivities
On October 30, 2024, I had the opportunity alongside fellow Pediatric Club members to participate in the Peds Clinic Fall Festivities. During this event, we set up a Halloween/Fall arts and crafts station in the waiting area for children to enjoy as they were waiting for their appointment. We aided the children in their activities and interacted with them. I learned how important it is to engage children in activities that they find exciting so they feel more comfortable and relaxed going into their appointment. It brought much joy to both the children and parents as well as the volunteers. It was a wonderful opportunity because I am interested in pediatrics and now as a D2 we are taking our first pediatrics class.
